It is an important light chemical raw material.
Crude glycerol can be used to prepare propylene glycol, two hydroxyacetone, epichlorohydrin and other derivatives. Propylene glycol, 1,3- propanediol and 1,2- propanediol, are important chemical raw materials. They are often used as synthetic raw materials for antifreeze, plasticizers, detergents, preservatives and emulsifiers. It can also be used in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Its main uses are monomers of polyester, polyether and polyimide, which are widely used in carpet, engineering plastics, clothing fabrics and other fields.
